"History Monastery Cismar Anno 1231 were banned monks of the Jonanniskloster (Bendiktinerabtei) founded in 1177 after Cicimeresthorp, today's Cismar. I don't want to speculate about the reasons here, it would have had fun with normal life feelings. From 1245 to 1561 there was this great medieval Benedictine abbey here in Ostholstein after the monks of the Lübeck Johanniskloster were finally moved here. The reason for the settlement was probably the currant who was declared holy in 1249. I didn't look for the reason. It's still in an outbuilding today.
