On a Sunday evening, my boyfriend and I had dinner at Knowles Station Wine Co, a beer and wine bar with a kitchen and a retail shop. By the time we arrived (around 7pm), it was not as crowded as the lady on the phone described. There was no wait for a table. Our server Tony gave us waters while we waited for our food and drinks.For drinks, they had a notable beer and wine list. We were in the mood for beer. Knowles has delicious food and a diverse beer selection. Before today, I always received great customer service. Sadly, today I went to visit for a teacher happy hour, and a clearly disgruntled and angry manager in plaid repeatedly expressed his frustration that we were there. He belittled and condescended my colleagues and me, both explicitly and indirectly. I was shocked and disappointed. Honestly, I’m surprised he was so very put off by business. Not a good look, Knowles. Teachers are very loyal patrons but if you don’t want us there, we can take our happy hours to other venues where our contributions to the community and our hard-earned dollars will be more appreciated. 5/5 for the dining in experience. Great lunch and dinner options such as fish tacos, felafel, fried chicken sandwich and salmon burger. Nice atmosphere and fair prices.3/5 for wine and beer shopping. They have a great selection of interesting wines and beers. Unfortunately, having shopped here 10+ times as a neighborhood customer, not once has a single staff member asked me what I was looking for and talked through their selection. Engaging any staff about questions is tough and you are left on your own. While I still dine here regularly, they’ve lost a regular customer for buying wine and beer and I now drive out of my way to Rodmans and other shops.
Have gotten takeout here over a dozen times, eaten dine-in a few times, and shopped there retail section a few times as well.Great spot, convenient location in Kensington, easy to like menu and fantastic service! The Cobb salad is terrific and as one might expect, their craft beer and wine selection is excellent.Would highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner.

Knowles consistently delivers excellent food and drink service, with no wait time. The menu offers a variety of flavors that keep me coming back to try new dishes. Although I'm not fond of the constantly changing beer selection, I appreciate discovering new tastes. It's a favorite spot for my kids to enjoy a satisfying meal in a lively coffee shop atmosphere.
I didn't dislike this restaurant, but I probably wouldn't return. The appetizers were tasty and the service was good. However, the sparkling wine was lacking bubbles and the wine pours were disappointingly small (less than 5 ounces). The beer selection, on the other hand, was good.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to meet up with friends and enjoy some drinks. Kristin adds a special touch to the experience, and the rest of the staff is wonderful too. The parking situation is convenient with plenty of space available.

Management appears to be providing single beer options. Maybe we will see more single IPA options from the top breweries for a five star rating. lol
Great service. Nice ambiance. Good place to grab a drink with friends. Great fish tacos and guacamole.
