A mountain hut with 900 year old walls! Many other parts several centuries old. A little solar power. A wood stove. Food and drinks from one woman who runs the place all summer. Picnic tables and grazing cows. Cows that are 100% organic and end up in the burgers and steaks at the owners restaurant and hotel down in the valley. It’s about a 35 minute hike up the forest road from the parking lot. Payments for that starting next season. We were up twice this year. Summer and fall. In fall the server had a day off but drinks were kept cold in well water and paid for on an honor system. Not uncommon in the Alps. Absolutely worth the zigzagging hike up.
