I have been a fan of Kokomo for a long time but a couple of weeks ago I had a negative experience. A customer came in with a dog, a staff member kneeled down to pet the dog and let it lick all of her fingers, and then she went and touched the lid of my smoothie to hand it to me, with no hand hygiene in between. I asked for a new lid and explained a severe allergy to an enzyme in dog saliva that would cause welts on my face and hands. I absolutely adore the shawarma wrap at this restaurant, it is incredibly delicious and has a perfectly balanced flavor and texture. I am also a huge fan of their coco Açai smoothie, which is refreshing on a hot summer day. The care and attention to detail in the food is evident in every bite, and the meals are nourishing. Although I find their açai bowl to be too small for the price, I used to get it regularly from their Chinatown location and noticed that the size had decreased at some point, which was disappointing. ABSOLUTELY LOVE the kokomo breakfast bowl. This bowl consists of: an acai base, HOUSE-MADE granola (which is to die for), coconut flakes, blueberries, strawberries, sliced banana beautiful mint leaves to polish it off. And to boot, they write sweet little messages on the bags! I have been into this location multiple times every single person that works there are super friendly passionate about what the cafe offers. Yes, it's vegan/plant based but even my meat eating friends love something in there. They also have local goodies: cookie dough ready to bake in the fridge section, great cold compressed juices, spreads cheese substitutes. Plus, some baked goods too. I will be back for sure. Still... This restaurant has the cutest location ever! I love the bright atmosphere. I was surprised to discover that everything on the menu is vegan. I ordered the laksa because I love noodles, and it was exactly what I was craving: tangy, spicy, and a little creamy. The blueberry smoothie was also delicious. We saved room for dessert and tried the chocolate churro donut and some ice cream sandwiches. The donut was very moist, and I especially enjoyed the soft serve in the sandwich. I hope to come back when the ice cream machine is fixed so I can try a waffle cone of soft serve.

Ok I always forget to take a picture (edit: I finally remember to take one but it doesn?t do it justice) of the amazing presentation because the food is so good! Also, they draw heartfelt messages on the paper takeout bags and even though they do this for everyone (I?m assuming), it still makes my day. Only downfall is that it?s a bit pricy (I?m a student so most things are pricy for me) so I only have Kokomo as a treat

I visited Kokomo to sample their plant-based creamsicle milkshake. It was not only delicious in taste but also reasonably priced at $12. I also enjoyed a buffalo wrap which was satisfying. The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was very clean. While it may be a bit expensive for health food, the quality is worth the cost.

I've never had a bad experience here, but my last two orders from the Shima shell were overwhelming. the bowl is literally only salat and rice and maybe 3 pee soy curls, I understand it, the dings are expensive, but for $15 abandon hunger and disappointed suckers. Réservez une table maintenant

I always find that eating here really healthy and fresh. reasonably expensive. EDIT:Beloved this place, always beautifully presented and the new wraps they added in the menu slap. serious amounts of taste.

Nice place to stop for lunch. The bowls are reasonably priced and very tasty. They could use a bit more seating.
