We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the sauce complemented it beautifully. The fresh fish was outstanding as well. The live bands provided great entertainment. The chocolate mud cake was large enough to serve three people and made for a wonderful way to end the meal. As always, the setting for watching the sunset is one of the best around. Our waiter did an excellent job, ensuring that the food arrived promptly. We will definitely return!
The setting is great. I loved where they placed our table for 12 — a little off to the side so it felt like a semi private room; but still with open views and part of the ambience of the restaurant. Service was impeccable. The Kona Inn was a real treat for us, couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Two experiences in a row where the appetizers were delivered after the main course. Don’t order your main until you have your apps!! PS..claimed I didn’t have a reservation despite me showing the app. Beautiful place, service not great.
Our Ono dinner wasn’t very good very tough fish which is unacceptable since it’s very hard to beat Ono. Mashed potatoes were very bad as well and I paid $4 for them too. This is Usually not the case with Kona inn. T hank you Réservez une table maintenant
Frozen crusted mahi at market price was not that good. Waiter was cranky and appeared to be over-worked. Plants in dining room appeared to be dying. Place was dingey. Not the Kona Inn I remembered.
One of our favorite spots in Kona. We eat there every time we visit. Book a reservation to get a good table, and sit and watch the sunset while you eat. Can’t find a better view or better food.
Unfortunately, not much of a selection and minimal staff which made ordering a long wait. Food was decent, not great but edible and flavorful.
A big favorite to take guests visiting the Big Island. Food is delicious, drinks are excellent and the view and sunset hard to match ! Réservez une table maintenant
Beautiful views, best mai tai and fresh fish on the island! Prices were amazing and portions were very generous!
