Our reservation was not honored. Which was upsetting because a lot of us came a long way through traffic across the toll bridges to get here for my sister’s birthday party. No calls, no text, no emails, no nothing.The host also served groups of people ahead of us, too which is really wrong so we ended up behind a long waiting list of people who walked in after us.I have eaten here once before with a friend just earlier this year so they must have changed their no reservation policy recently. Last time we’re here we didn’t get any service at the table requesting broth-replenishment, and the only attention we got was at l the end of the 90 minute limit where they just literally hustled us out....
It was a stressful dinner with friends. I understand that if you have left overs they will charge $15. Some people order and don't even finish it. You have 90 min to eat. Sometimes you want to relax but you're looking at the time all the time and make sure there is no left over.What a stressful dinner! The meat was paper thin once you put it in the boiling soup it disappear. They have Kobe beef, and I know exactly what it is. I ask the waiter if it is really Kobe beef and I asked him to tell the truth, you know how expensive is beef from Kobe? He said no it is not Kobe Beef. Shabu House in Fort Lee is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely incredible. The fresh meats, seafood, and vegetables were all top-notch. The broth was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The service was also excellent. I highly recommend Shabu House to anyone who is looking for a delicious and authentic hot pot experience. The drive here was definitely worth it. The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but it's definitely worth the extra effort. I will definitely be back again soon! This is a great Hot Pot spot! Reasonably priced and has the most offerings that I've ever seen for a Hot Pot before. Despite there being only 2 other tables in the restaurant the items we ordered took a little while to come out but it wasn't a big deal as they had some offerings at their sauce bar! There were all kinds of sauce combinations you can make, and they also had fresh fruit, jello and ice cream for when you were finished with your meal (or before). Overall great experience!!

The food here is excellent, especially for groups with diverse tastes. Everyone can customize their own hot pot, and the selection is extensive. However, a word of caution: while the restaurant claims to stay open until 10 PM, they tend to start turning guests away whenever they feel ready to close, and this time can vary. To avoid disappointment, it's best to arrive before 8 PM.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the restaurant! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the quality of the food was superb. There was a wide variety of unique selections to choose from. My only issue was that when we requested more broth, they simply added boiling water without any additional hot pot seasoning, which diluted the flavor.
Rude hostess just wants to close the restaurant as soon as possible and doesn't make you feel welcomed. Server was inattentive and doesn't come around too often to see if you need anything or more broth. Not the best hot pot you can go to
They no longer have the conveyor belt since the pandemic, and they do hope to bring it back. However, they are currently short-staffed, which makes it very slow to get food and drink refills.

This is the 1st time me and wife went. Food was great and awesome service. Checked and found out there is one located in Michigan as well. Will take family there to try it now.
Overall good AYCE hot pot. Nothing very special but nothing wrong. The Szechuan spicy broth isn’t good enough to though, not as good as the kpot special mushroom broth.
