Oooooi... what can I say? First the good: nice place with great food! Everything around it, atmosphere, service: oiioi! Another couple arrived at the restaurant almost at the same time as us. Karsten (with a trendy mustache and his somewhat perfumed companion completely freaked out the innkeeper and his service colleague. The landlord and his colleague ran hectically through their restaurant, shouted orders for him (Karsten over our heads into the kitchen, and hardly found any time for the other guests. Schönes Lokal im schönsten Stadtquartier Zürichs. Als Vorspeise empfiehlt der Chef den gebratenen Pulpo mit Fenchel Salat und dies ist eine gute Wahl. Als Hauptgang einmal ganze Dorade aus dem Ofen und einmal den Risotto mit Scampi. Die Dorade war auf den Punkt gegart und mit Ofengemüse garniert. Alles prima, nur die etwas dicke Zitronenbutter Sauce war etwas unpassend. Der Risotto war hammerhaft, mit leichtem Zitronenaroma, wirklich eine Empfehlung! Als Dessert kann ich den heissen Crumble, diesmal mit Aprikosen und Beeren, und mit Sauerrahm Glace als kaltem Gegenpool ebenfalls wärmstens empfehlen. Wir wollten mit einem Kinderwagen zu früher Abendstunde zum kurzen Nachtessen ins Kreis 6. Gleich beim Empfang stand eine sehr unfreundliche und uninteressierte Dame welche uns in die hinterste Ecke verfrachten wollte. Es wäre sehr schwierig geworden überhaupt mit dem Wagen nach hinten zu gelangen. Das Restaurant war zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch ganz leer. Wir waren über die Jahre schon mehrmals im Kreis 6 weil wir im Quartier wohnen und sind immer wieder aufs neue überrascht, wie unstetig der Betrieb geführt wird. Unfortunately below expectations. Most of the staff are committed (although not all); especially the Long-time residents. Bread for the starter was already very dried out. Starter (tuna/avocado tartare) very tasty. Also tried: ceviche pulpo/fennel salad, both very good. Main course good, cordon bleu unfortunately only just lukewarm, spinach very cold. After asking twice, my colleague only received the pasta side dish with the last bite of the meat. The espresso was offered as an apology, but unfortunately there was no real apologetic word. I truly enjoyed dinner in Kreis 6. Restaurant is located outside the centre in a friendly neighborhood, in an old villa. Elegant and cozy interiors. Gentleman who served us was very kind and professional, he described the dishes well and encouraging. We enjoyed everything we were eating. The tuna tatar, cordon bleu, soup of the day as well as the fish were delicious. I would definitely come back to this place!
Schon öfters im Kreis 6 zum Dinner gewesen! Gestern "nur" die Tagesspezialität gehabt; lauwarmer Pulposalat auf Fenchel und dann ein super leckeres Cordon-Bleu mit Brie und Seranoschinken. Kreativ und einfach sehr gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Wein top. Das Restaurant hält den sehr guten Standard seit Jahren.
