However, when I reached the window, the same girl mentioned that they were short-staffed and that the online hours didn’t align with their actual closing time. I understand that staffing issues can be a challenge for many businesses nowadays, but as I looked inside the store, I saw three employees sitting down, engrossed in their phones! Very unprofessional and disrespectful person working in this shop. I love Krispy cream and their quality but they don’t value your loyalty. Ordered online for the job meeting and was supposed to be ready for pick up at 7:30am. Got there at 7:20 and waited at the drive through for 30 min yet no sign of my order. Finally they brought me order and was the wrong one after asking my name in order twice. After another 10 min they did brought my donuts but no coffee. I asked the lady that I need them for business meeting at 9am and I am getting late. I've heard the "hot light" is on, but it often means there's no fresh hot donuts available. Even when you see the light, it can be misleading. I once called to ask when the hot donuts would be ready, but when I called back, there were still none. They did have hot donuts once, but then I ended up with a dozen cold ones. I wouldn't recommend putting in this much effort; it's better to look for a good independent donut shop nearby. In Edwardsville, I suggest Donut Palace, and in Maryville, check out Little Taste of Heaven. Believe it or not, even Red Robin has some tasty donuts!
The last time I was there, I got cold donuts even though I requested HOT ONES. The person working the window made no attempt to bag my order (I had to ask). Then I had to ask for napkins as well.. This is not very service friendly. If Krispy Kreme wants to save money by NOT giving customers bags and napkins, maybe they should ask customers what they would like to have. It just seems like a cheap move on the part of this Krispy Kreme.
I had a disappointing experience at the Fairview Heights location on Saturday, December 10, 2022. The cashier was quite rude and seemed uninterested in helping customers. Her attitude was unpleasant, and when I tried to use a birthday coupon, she acted like it was a nuisance. Additionally, the donut display was not properly stocked or clean. I regret not being able to get the young lady's name to provide more specific feedback.
Great place to stop to treat the family. The location really has to work on fulfilling its menu selection and fixing the menu screen. There were times recently it didn't seem they were open cause the menu screen light was broken. They run out of specialty flavors all the time though or just don't have what is being advertised. I'm sure this is hurting return business.
Make sure to enjoy Krispy Kreme's regular donuts while they're warm; they simply don't taste the same when cold. It's easy to see why these donuts have become a favorite among food enthusiasts. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly, even at such an early hour. I always appreciate that complimentary first donut!
Took so long for someone to take my order at the intercom. Sat in silence for 20 minutes until someone took my order. The Iced latte advertised on the menu looked nothing like the coffee I received. Seems like it is all minors working and no aftual management on the site to keep the service going fast and efficient.
