A private house open to the public, originally built for a bishop. The brick path to the front door that had a label saying "push the handle". Inside was a large hall with rooms leading from it. One room had home made cakes under glass domes. The friendly hostess explained we could order slices and showed us a menu of drinks. The dining room had small round marble topped tables with three chairs around each. My wife, her nephew and me were three. In one corner was a large tiled stove and a long case clock in the other. Oil painted portraits on the walls. A view to a large garden through the windows. The cakes and drinks matched the pleasant surroundings. Delighted to make such a pleasant and unique discovery.
