Kupferpfandl - Réserver une table

We recently moved very nearby and decided to try this place a week ago. Although we waited over an hour for our food to arrive (yes, an hour but it was worth the wait! The steak fromage (filet' covered in Gorgonzoa sauce) was absolutely amazing...and my steak was done perfectly. We shared that experience with friends who decided all eight of us should go again last night. Again, a VERY long wait for food (even with reservations), and although everyone else loved theirs and their steak was done perfectly, I did have to send mine back to keep it from moo'ing! After being there a week ago, I knew to order Medium Well instead of my normal medium ......but even a medium-well was barely cooked and had to be re-done which meant starting minutes after the others had started their dinner. The wait staff is very helpful and again, when they get it right, it's AMAZING!!! But it appears they have more raw definitions of medium, and medium-well than in the US. They have a bar but I wouldn't call it a full bar ......limited on sweet white wines, aged whiskey, and liquors. I gave it stars based on our first time there.........and the end result of both visits.

I've reserved a table days before visiting the restaurant without problems. After arrival, our small company experienced that the service personnel has strong skills in the local German accent but communicate quite poor in high German and in English. The drinks were served slow...(I've rarely seen Jameson being such a tiny sip) but the dishes landed fast on our table. The snails ordered as appetizers swam in garlic butter, so not much else could be felt about their taste. Anyway, we came here to try the steaks which were excellent, perfectly cooked medium rare, as requested. After a short hour we were notified that the table is reserved for other guests, and we get a free round of some kind of Bavarian schnaps if we move to the bar area's high chairs with our drinks. The offer surprised us, but we've accepted it. As a summary, we've found that this place has probably the best steaks in this town. Business is tough, so be prepared to consume your orders fast.

Went here by chance on a rainy November night basically driven by the smell in the nearby : The fillet was very tasty and of course even the beer was great. The venue is conveniently located in Amber downtown and as far as I understood,...parking near the premises is even allowed. I didn't give stars because was not possible to pay with the credit cards and i have not been duly informed at the entrance. Sure enough it is now working...perhaps i was not lucky enough

We decided to make a reservation at this restaurant to try their steak. The smell at night around this area is great and we couldn't pass the opportunity to give it a try. Adam was able to translate the menu for us and was super...kind the entire time. Our server was detailed oriented and provided great service. The steak was perfectly cooked and the shrimp and bruschettas were delicious. Overall, we had a great experience and can't wait to go back.

Whenever I am in Amberg I visit here, it’s always an excellent meal (they don’t have English menus but the staff will always help you out) I can recommend the steak Fromage. The service is good and the restaurant is always busy.
