Good post movie option for late night dining (Sunday closed at 12:45 am). Drinks are solid bordering on excellent. Sushi and ramen are fine to good. Would not recommend the age dashi (broth is too sweet). Shishito pepper have extra spice added, takoyaki (fried octopus balls) were a little under done. Excellent whiskey selection and reasonable prices. Bar can be loud, tables are quiet, has outdoor seating (basic chairs and tables outside), and has sports TVs on at bar without sound. Not destination sushi, and there are other places in Pike Rose to try, but I'd come back after an iPic movie nearby. Inside, they also have a small selection of Japanese snacks. Great experience! I loved the sushi ? my sister and I ate. We got the Dragon Pinstripe rolls. The ingredients were quality fresh. Our waiter, Eric, was friendly, accommodating, made us feel welcome, and provided us with great service. The atmosphere was nice. They have a bar area with a TV. At the end of our meal, one of the owners came over to see how our meal went chatted for a few minutes. I told him this was our first time visiting, and he thanked us for choosing to come there said he hoped we would return. Located in the very popular pike rose, this is a very solid, if not inventive, place for sushi and sake if you have a craving. I sat at the bar and oddly the hot water was broken so I couldn't get a tea. It wasn't busy and the bartender did a fine job of getting me drinks. Not friendly or rude, but proficient. I happen to enjoy chatting with the bartenders when I'm at the bar but that's just my preference. Eel cucumber roll had way too much eel sauce, but the octopus app was outstanding so I'm giving the food a middle ranking. Photos of both so you can judge for yourself.
My go-to sushi place. Dining inside can be a bit cramped because the space is crowded and they're usually busy (they do have outdoor seating, though). This is one of few places from which I prefer to order pickup/delivery. They get it right EVERY time and I've never been disappointed by a roll.Food: 5/5
