I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to most food, but I'm very particular about sushi. I work at a restaurant with exceptional sushi and japanese food, and I was excited when Kyatchi opened as it seemed promising in a sea of mediocre sushi restaurants. Seriously. It took me ten months to finally try Kyatchi, and it's been delightful. The owner is great! She's been informative and personal. They have tasty vegetarian options, which I think is a pretty good test of a restaurant. Someone's review said that it was expensive, but I thought it was totally reasonable. If you want FRESH food and sushi, eat it here. Some traditional foods, lots of refreshing foods, beer on tap, and you can feel g...

First was the pressed salmon sushi from this world! A friend of mine took care of the squeezed sushi over the last two years, so my expectations were high. It has completely exceeded my expectations - zesty, buttery, and the perfect balance of textures. We also ordered barley tea, gyoza, a red snap roll and a yellow tail roll. The yellow tail roll was exceptional. The red snapper was good, but the taste was not my favorite (personal preference). The Gyoza was also lovely. The barley was a great addition to the meal and was the perfect warming element on a cool night. We were satisfied with the amount of food we have ordered, but I would recommend ordering a few extra rolls if you really try...

We got there when they opened at 4pm on a Tuesday. It was mellow and the perfect time to enjoy their happy hour menu. We got a 6pc roll on the happy hour menu with scallop and yuzu, very subtle and satisfying flavor. The Suntory Toki drink was like a effervescent light beer, not something I’d order again. However, the junmai ginjo was the perfect refreshment to pair with the karaage. Lastly, we ordered the Tarasando; enjoyable if you’re in the mood for a hot dog styled fish sandwich. In the past I’ve ordered the curry and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ordered! Next time we’re in minneapolis I’m sure we’ll be back to try more : Side note: service was great!

The food at Kyatchi was excellent. While the prices may seem high compared to Japan, I believe it is still worth giving five stars to this review. The menu offers authentic and unique options, such as Age-bitashi Donburi and Yakisoba dog. The traditional potato salad made with Japanese mayo and cucumber reminded me of my mother's cooking. They also offer Hitachino beer, including a Yuzu lager which I highly recommend. Overall, we had a great time at Kyatchi and will definitely be returning. Réservez une table maintenant

This review is long overdue. Kyatchj is my fave place for vegan sushi in Minneapolis. Their veggie Kara age remains one of my fave foods from anywhere and I have to have it at least once a month. The seaweed salad puts all others to shame. I finally also tried the Wasabizuke and it is a new fave. Vegan caterpillar roll. Yes. Vegan chef’s plate is also always a delight. I just love this place.

The highest quality fish, precise preparation, creative and sophisticated ingredient combinations, great hospitality, and a killer soundtrack. An obvious effort to create delicious vegan sushi options that surprised and satisfied the meat eaters (both in our party) and reminded us of our experience at L'Arpege. Best sushi I've eaten in town and beyond, actually. Very reasonably priced.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. I am always excited to try good vegan sushi, and this place exceeded my expectations. They offer an outstanding happy hour menu that can easily be turned into a full dinner at affordable prices. My son, who loves sushi, was also very satisfied with the food. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Food is good , service is adequate. Our meal (2 adults, 4 children) were not served at same time. I thought my bowl would be hot but it was not. My major complaint is that they say they include the tip in the pricing of the food. But then the server asks for a tip when the bill is presented. Réservez une table maintenant

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant, especially the sushi. It can be difficult to find a good spot for sushi, but this place definitely delivers. In addition to sushi, they also offer delicious noodle dishes and unique hot dogs.
