We struggled to enjoy our meal (which was a birthday celebration), due to several minor issues which, when taken together contributed to a very average experience. We were told they'd need the table back after 2 hours, which has never been a problem for us in the past, however the service here was so slow (we weren't even given food menus until after we'd offered drinks) that in the end we struggled to finish our mains in time, and were refused dessert. The food was fine, one item from the menu wasn't available and another arrived incomplete and we were charged for an extra mail course. The service was friendly enough but the staff seemed very rushed, which contributed to a less-than-relaxed...
I really wanted to like it, but it was just very average. Initial impressions of the decor weren’t great, hoped the food would make up for it, and again just very average. The staff were nice no issue there. Other notes, the black pepper on a very strange looking cheap plastic trolley isn’t appetising, the dirty dishes going through the toilet door ditto. One of the strangest things was the chef seemed to turn the lights off when he finished cooking? So the whole room lit up and dimmed, on and off all night. I wanted to enjoy it so much but to put it shortly “meh” Sadly 1st and last time i think.
We had our first dining experience at La Banca Italian, where we were impressed by the friendly staff. A polite waiter greeted us upon arrival, seated us, and handed us menus. Our drinks and starters came quickly, followed closely by our entrees. Our meals were hot, delicious, and bursting with flavor. Thank you for a fantastic experience, La Banca Italian. We look forward to visiting again soon.
We are delighted that we decided to have dinner at La Banca last night, a charming family restaurant in Paisley. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, Rachel and her team (girl power!) were attentive, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance and plentiful food were excellent. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys delicious food with loved ones. A happy customer from New Zealand.
