"Tagines good but not brilliant. Desserts OK with innovative ice creams and oriental pastries. Mine was interesting, small (which was good) but a bit tasteless. Service so slow that it became a real problem."

Went for my husband's birthday and he thought it would be nice to try Moroccan food for a change. The Restaurant was clean and nicely presented but we were served by children, the girl serving us was chewing gum. No starters available. There were 5 lamb tagine dishes out of 7 and no lamb. The food arrived at different times. We were given a bottle of lukewarm water, no wine available, though that didn't particularly bother us. We asked for more water and were ignored. We had to wait ages when we had finished the main course and eventually were given the dessert menu and asked what the 4 patisseries were, she brought them to show us and we declined as they looked unappetising. We said we would have ice cream but she took so long we gave up and just got the bill. I do not recommend food was not particularly good, my husband makes a nicer tagine!

On a quiet Monday evening when virtually no other restaurants were open, La Barak'a had a handful of diners. Moroccan cuisine makes a pleasant alternative to the Catalan or Italian fare on offer. To echo other reviewers, the vegetable tagine was delicious and the cous cous just right. The decor was clean and bright and the service warm and friendly. Deserves success.

Wonderfull Morocan food! We went with a party of 8 incl 4 children. Everybody loved the Tajines, incl the kids. We will definately go back there and I will highly recommend it. The service was a bit slow, but it could have been caused by the kitchen wanting to serve everything at the same time.

Excellent Moroccan food served by a friendly, helpful young waitress. We both had Tajines, one lamb one chicken both excellent, served with couscous. One large dessert between us one coffee all for 37 euro. They don't serve wine but I think you can bring your own.
