Second time to visit Pontorson and this restaurant . Had been a favourite on our first trip and quite looked forward to dining there again . Restaurant is located on one of the main streets and has a small patio on the sidewalk .Inside is quite small and tables fairly close . Simple decor .Popular with both locals and tourists . Varied menu . Moules are excellent as are the salads . Pre sale lamb a speciality in Normandy is wonderful . Entrecôte is also very good . Nice selection of deserts although I was sorry to find the crepes calvados was no longer on the menu . Our server who also appeared to be the owner was friendly and efficient and had a great sense of humour . A good experience once again .

Have eaten in this restaurant a number of times and have always found the fixed price lunch menu to be very tasty and very good value. However, each item we have been there we have found that the gentleman who serves the meals often appears to be very easily distracted. As a result it takes longer than necessary to come to the table table to take the order, he will often be delayed in passing the order to the chef, and he often leaves a hot dish waiting before he collects it and delivers it to the customer. It is a pity that this lack of attention to giving good service to the paying customer diminishes the overall experience. But the meals are good!

Visited la Baroque on a stop over before ferry home. Just wanted some good simple French food - I had moules with cream and my husband had the fish stew along with carafe of house white. Both very tasty with good portion sizes and frits nice and crispy. We also had pudding which were homemade. Loved the waiter - he was friendly spoke some English and very efficient but not rushed. Definitely go there again if we were passing through as other options were limited.

Friendly atmosphere with range of reasonably priced menu options. Good choice of wines by the glass. Thorougly enjoyed the grilled salmon. The creme brulee for desert was easily big enough for the two of us to share.
