I think we tried half of their not long menu, spending 3 evenings at La Barra de Zapata. All hot dishes and desserts are super delicious! Food representation is also extraordinary. Staff is very friendly and serving is fast judging by the number of people at the restaurant. You feel very welcome at the restaurant. Less food waste policy is noticed, Raffael explains about recommended number of dishes to order. When it is not enough food, it is better to order later, since anyway it comes pretty fast. My recommendations for improvement: it would be nice to have hot bread offered additional to existing menu. It is not always clear, which dishes are cold and which ones are hot. It would have bee...
Ristorantino di cucina creativa in pieno centro. Senza prenotazione in anticipo ad agosto è impossibile andarci. Il padrone di casa spiega tutti i piatti e suggerisce quanti ordinarne per uscire sazi e appagati dall’esperienza gastronomica. Tutti i piatti sono concepiti per essere condivisi, anche i piatti principali. Sono tutti bellissimi e pieni di sapore. La tentazione di provarne di nuovi è fortissima. Menzione speciale per la ceviche (non la solita banale ceviche), i peperoni con le alici e le cozze impanate. Buono il carpaccio; interessante l’insalata di granchio. Siamo finalmente usciti soddisfatti… anche nella spesa: più o meno 40 euro a testa in tre bevendo birra .
La pasión con la que Rafael Zapata describe cada uno de los platos de la corta pero muy interesante carta, y como aconseja la configuración del menú, sirve de gran ayuda para decidir qué comer. La experiencia de probarlos y comprobar que las complicadas elaboraciones cumplen con creces las expectativas resulta muy satisfactoria. En cada uno de los platos hay una combinación de creatividad y respeto por el producto, cumpliendo con el principio general de la fusión de algo latino, algo italiano, algo español y un toque asiático. Nos quedamos con las ganas de seguir probando toda la carta, menos mal que podremos volver.
A small and friendly restaurant in old city of Malaga operated by its Venezuelan owner and staff. The owner was dealing very professionally with us but the absolute best was all the food we try made out of the kitchen operated by the owners son. Dishes was a travel of wounderful flavours mixed. We try a three dishes a crema soup, occtupussy and a risotto followed by two desserts one brownie type and one with strawberries all of them we shared but each was a treat. It was my wife’s birthday and the owner picked that up and quickly improvised a small candle with the dessert. Highly Recommend… Réservez une table maintenant
we had a really great experience in la barra de zapata. it was pretty busy when we came in, but we were greeted immediately. we sat on a table and the owner explains the menu. He was really warm and welcoming. amazing restaurant! everything was beautiful! the personal was amazing. if after an excellent eating and drinking, they will definitely pass. the personal here works particularly hard to feel everyone welcome and special. and again they come to check this place, they will not be disappointed. many thanks to la barra de zapata for a wonderful time.
Extremely interesting food flavours and combinations. The owner, a Venezuelan, introduced the very short menu following his advice, we ordered six dishes for five people and it was more than enough. The Carpaccio and Ceviche were exceptional. We were so impressed we ordered two of the desserts and enjoyed both. The Lime was light and just right to end the meal.
What a fantastic small family run restaurant I can’t recommend it highly enough! It was a dining experience but at a reasonable price. The food was creative and great quality, the owner is so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. Definitely put this on your list and you won’t be disappointed!! I would go back again tomorrow if I could.
surprising surprise after our uncertainty about the type of service (sgabelli and bar tables.) was all fantastic, star restaurant cuisine, very sought after but balanced, all dishes are to be tried. very limited wine paper but with bottles that with excellent quality price.
