Restaurant in the center of Olot next to Plaça Clara, very well located. Small and very cozy, it has two bars, a long bar that gives the restaurant its name and tables. It is open for lunch and dinner. They have market and seasonal cuisine, with high quality products. They also have regional products of great quality. They work with both meat and fish and seafood, all with typical preparations of their cuisine. They also have a good selection of wines from different styles and regions. The staff are friendly, Manel knows a lot about gastronomy and advises the products of the day. We ate some starters to share, with anchovies, strips of bonito and piquillo peppers and a green salad with figs....
The owners love what they do and you can feel it in the service and the food. It is for sure a bit expensive but the owners took the time to explain us the menu and show us the specificities of the regional food. We had a good time and got well fed. Food is of good quality. So eventually worth the price!
