My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a self-guided biking trip through Provence and it was the highlight of our journey. The innkeepers, Sandrine and Katya were so pleasant and lovely. They speak very good English, and allowed me practice my poor French on them. Our room was huge with a separate attached bath that had a big modern shower and a clawfoot tub! They accommodated our requests for gluten free dining. The food was absolutely fantastic. Excellent local wines. The grounds are lovely, with a beautiful pool. I'd love to stay here a week. Breakfast was the usual French continental, excellent pastries, yogurt, ham, cheese, etc. And divine coffee!
Après quelques repas l'année dernière, nous avons de nouveau réservé (pour 9 adultes) et avons reçu une réponse très agréable disant qu'ils se souvenaient de notre visite et avaient hâte de nous accueillir. Malheureusement, notre arrivée le dimanche soir a été complètement inattendue et plutôt étrange. Accueillis comme de vieux amis, poignées de mains, etc., puis un regard vide. Sandrine avait oublié de finaliser nos deux réservations et nous avons été éconduits. Aucun effort pour nous accueillir ou trouver une alternative, inutile de dire que nous ne retournerons pas.
Du bonjour jusqu'à la fin, le restaurant était fabuleux. Étant originaire de l'Alabama et ne parlant que très peu français, je pensais que ça allait être difficile CE N'ÉTAIT PAS. La fille des propriétaires parlait couramment l'anglais et a fait en sorte que leur maison se sente comme la nôtre. La nourriture était incroyable et pour nous qui ne mangions pas de poisson, ils nous ont préparé quelque chose de similaire à un rôti de boeuf et des carottes. Si vous êtes dans la région, vous devez absolument aller dans cet endroit, vous ne partirez pas le ventre vide !
We made a last minute dinner reservation here on a Monday as it was in walking distance to our gîte. Sat in a lovely courtyard and enjoyed friendly, if leisurely/sporadic service. The young waitress had to crunch across a lot of gravel to reach each table from the kitchen. Not exactly a buzzy atmosphere but then it was Monday. The food was OK, but not particularly memorable and the laminated, short menus looked a bit amateur. It feels like a place on the way down, not the way up, which if true, is a shame as the building and location has charm. Needs a revamp. Réservez une table maintenant
from bonjour to the end the restaurant was fabulous. when I spoke of alabama and very little French, I thought it would be difficult to do something. the owner daughter spoke fluent English and made her feel at home like our home. Eating was amazing and made way for us who did not eat fish they had us something similar to potted and carrots. if they are in the opposite, they must go to this place they do not starve!
Me and my husband came across the restaurant on a walk around the area and sat down because the place was so beautiful. Little did we know we were about to have the meal of our lives! The chef, Yannick, uses local produce combined with talent one rarely comes across, especially by accident! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in lovely surroundings!
