We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for the menu del dia, and for such an affordable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I took my family to Alcala de Henares for the first time, and they want to come back again just to eat lunch at this place. We enjoyed the gazpacho, fabada asturiana, solomillo con mostaza. I highly recommend it to everyone who comes to this town. La Bienvenida is also on the main street (Calle Mayor), so it´s very close to the town´s main attractions.
We just happened upon this place this Sunday afternoon. The staff we so kind and helpful. We had a mixture of various albondigas standard, lentil and curry, and chicken). All delicious! Together with a tomato salad and Russian salad that was all we needed. But it's the staff which made the place.

I'm very happy as long as a new place with vegan options appears. This site offers nothing from the other world, but a vegan doesn't stay hungry. For breakfast it would be a perfect place but unfortunately the times I went in winter it was cold that I didn't take my coat off.

la bienvenida es un lugar de encuentro con la gente maravillosa en un ambiente muy acogedor y cercano. simple, elegante, con su propio estilo. muy buenos vinos, aperitivos de todos los colores y sabores y una comida al gusto y al gusto. ¡Lo recomiendo!
Nice place in the historical centre, great food, great wines, nice view from terrace, no TV, nice music, good price. They have probably the best cook of Alcalá de Henares working there...
Me chiflan los filetes rusos con queso de cabra y cebolla caramelizada... Nada que envidiar al pollo crujiente... Y como colofón bizcocho de almendras... Sencillamente espectacular!!!
