la boca literally means “the mouth” in Spanish – a strange name for a restaurant that I thought first, until I came to the blatant simplicity. they feed me, they feed me now, after I heard about this new place online, I convinced them that this was what we had to do on the day. coming between lunch and dinner meant that it was pretty quiet, but that's how I prefer it. draught estrella was ordered and we started to eliminate elements from the menu to narrow our choice. our waiter had the task of telling us that their bread delivery had not yet arrived. a new restaurant has such hiccups and it's really not her fault, but with so many places that sell brot near...read more
cheery little place offers a fantastic eating. I think eating here was better than many others in glassgow. there were many tapas sites open fino, cubatas, tinto west end, rioja, brutti compadres etc. so far these places were on their own wise good and were pleased to say la boca. super friendly staff, delicious food and a real nice atmosphere. we also had desserts that are rare for us and were really good. recommend the sticky toffe pudding. only negatiw was that they use the really hard white/blue LED lights on the back, where our table was not as comfortable sitting and not as the rest of the restaurant was cozy.
My husband and I have eaten here twice. On both occasions the food was wonderful. We had a selection of tapas, which came fresh and piping hot to the table. In particular, I would like to mention the secreto iberico and it was the flavour of this dish that actually made us want to go back. It was just as tasty the second time around. Would definitely go back.
very impressed by our lunch in la boca. three tapas for £6.95 the waiting staff was friendly and helpful. the environment is casual. that was delicious. as others have commented, the portions seem small, but still great worth on the lunch deal certainly recommended for lunch.
