La bodega de Pepe

I've been there for a quick lunch and I did not have to make a reservation. The host has been welcoming and offered us the table choice. They speak Spanish and English very well. The menu is on the paoer table placemat and it come with photos of the preparation which matched the dishes we ordered. In two people, we went for 6 different tapas to share and they were all very well prepared and tasty. Portions are also generous and there was plenty of food for two. There is a single unisex toilette and the entrance does not seem to be ok for wheelchairs.

I usually love this place the food is delicious, and I always recommend it to friends, often bringing groups there. I will reconsider in future. On a recent visit, they refused to give us a carafe of tap water! We were a group of...six, all ordering food and having a glass of wine. The service was increasingly unfriendly and impolite. It spoiled our evening and I will think twice about taking a group there again.

This was our third visit to this lovely tapas restaurant. Only once have we had not so good service. The food is always great even though it doesn't appear to have a full kitchen. I'm looking forward to visiting in summer so I can enjoy tapas with sangria!
