After a day's long drive we stopped for the night at St Victor with the intention of trying the auvergnat restaurant next door to La Boucherie. But the Auvergnat was full so we went to La Boucherie. We had a very good meal at La...Boucherie in Chasseneuil du Poitou in April so we were quite happy to go there. Although the menu of the St Victor Boucherie is identical, the quality of the food served is not.... We both had the same burgers in both establishments. However, whereas I had trouble to finish the large burger I was served in Chasseneuil, the one in St Victor was barely half the size. the restaurant is less than 100 m from budget hotel gates ace and ibis. foods of acceptable quality and not too expensive, but € 6.50 for 500cl beer was ott! a good bottle of wine, on the other hand, costs only €23 and free table. water meal for 2 £60.

after a long car ride we took a chance and went to the next restaurant. sometimes, when they expect the least they get the best. good service, delicious food and a very good atmosphere with many happy locals.

eating was reasonable, service was a little haphazard when restaurant was packed and only 4 waiters looking for everyone. ideal if they stay at the ibis or ace hotel.

reasonable price maintenance with good variety on the menu when we visited a lot of children for parties on a Sunday evening.
