Another restaurant we went for due TA reviews, again not disappointed. We had booked and were given seats right by the kitchen almost a chefs table which was great. Enjoyed the complimentary amouse bouche of salmon toast a nice taste of things to come. We...both followed with the fish soup which was very good. I was steered by the Chef to a whole grilled Sole and my wife went for Monkfish. Both excellently prepared, however seeing the mashed potato arriving in a sealed tub was not a good look. A nice wine list and we enjoyed two bottles of a fine Pinot Grigio. Fascinating watching the Chef owner working and the dynamic between him and his waitress who obviously wears the trousers. All in all...
I took my team here for lunch so there was of us dinning. They made sure we had a good table in the centre of the restaurant. The selection of fresh fish was considerable. I started off with a platter of oysters and then...had the sea bass with potatoes and salad for main. We shared a bottle of white wine and the selection was good with recommendations from our server. The food was very tasty and my whole team gave positive feedback eating from across the menu. The menu was not available in English but luckily my team were fluent, aided with a bit of google translate. Would whole heartedly recommend for a fresh fish well prepared and good service.
Unsuspectingly located in between McDonald and subway, I have overlooked this place in my many visits to the Altstadt. It was an amazing find! I love seafood, and the food here was spectacular. We had scallops to start then my boyfriend had swordfish as I...had lobster ragu. Everything was delicious and perfect. The addition of the free salmon toast and grappa shows that they value their customers, and it was a lovely added touch! Service is amazing as was our visit! Can’t wait to go again.
