La Brasserie d'Aurillac

Chosen on the strength of other reviews, a somewhat more formal place than many in the town - in a good way. Service good but restrained, food of a good standard though portions tending to the 'nouvelle' size. Vegetarian option available but they struggled a little when my wife wanted a veggie starter as a main.The bill was surprisingly reasonable.

Jolie brasserie, carte alléchante...mais les plats ne sont pas à la hauteur de ce qui était annoncé ! Rosbeef de Salers servi froid, assiette exotique à la chantilly de mascarpone servi...sans chantilly !! En bref, la déception fut grande.

Near the river, very easy parking opposite. Very good service; slightly more expensive than other similar restaurants but excellent quality food and good sized portions.

The menu du jour was seafood and what seafood. Absolutely lovely. Only a few customers that night - people don't know what they were missing.
