Le restaurant est tout simplement magnifique, avec une grande terrasse, animée, accueillante et amusante. Le menu est essentiellement du poisson, et j'adore ça. Il y a un large choix de fruits de mer et de poissons. J'ai pris le thon et il était parfaitement cuit, et mon homme a pris la raie qui était incroyable avec de grosses frites croustillantes. Les deux poissons étaient parfaitement préparés. Le vin que nous avons choisi a également parfaitement complété le repas. En semaine, ils ont également un menu déjeuner qui avait l'air fantastique lorsque nous l'avons vu passer en cuisine. Nous y retournerons certainement. The restaurant is just lovely, large terrace, busy, buzzy and fun. The menu is fish, fish and more fish, which I love. There is a great variety of seafood and fish. I had the tuna and it was cooked perfectly and my husband had the...skate which was amazing with proper large capers. Both lots of fish were cooked perfectly. The wine we chose also complimented the food perfectly. In the week they have a midday menu too which looked amazing as we were watching plates of it coming out of the kitchen. We will definitely return. Oh, and if you are interested in going I would advise to book as it was understandably busy.
this small rustic restaurant is located directly outside of the rustelle near the bridge to il de re and in the oysters easily inland....fresh platelets of seafood decorate the tables and we lunch in sunny gratitude. a busy place so reserve and seemingly with...not only tourist, but repeat native. very friendly staff and the menu has a lot of other choices if sea food is not their choice. very good and out of the trubel by la rochelle.
As the name says, this is a 'cabane ' (shack); nevertheless, a very nicely decorated and comfortable one! Of course we went for seafood all the way. Oysters, shrimp and clams to start with; absolutely fresh and delicious! As main course we went for 'gambas flambés '...and monkfish; both perfectly cooked and with a delicious sauce. All perfectly accompanied bu a local Sauvignon from Ile-de-Ré! What a memorable diner... Réservez une table maintenant
We visited for dinner. They don't speak English, so it may not be for everyone. It was fine for us though. My French is pretty good, although nowhere near fluent. We just had trouble with translating a couple of items on the menu that didn't...appear in my pocket dictionary or my French food guide. You need to book as it is very popular. The food was outstanding. This is a lovely place very well worth seeking it out.
Ce restaurant de fruits de mer inhabituel et hors du commun est bon à explorer, car tout y était délicieux. Le service était excellent et très amical. Si vous n'êtes pas français, ils ont une carte vraiment utile avec les noms de tous les poissons qu'ils servent, avec des traductions dans quatre langues différentes.
