We booked a table for 4 for lunch outside. Upon arriving they showed us to a beautiful table but near some heavy smokers. We asked, in French, to be re-seated and they were very accommodating. The service was all down hill thereafter. We asked for water, and watched as a couple were seated, water and an amuse bouche were brought their way. After asking 2 more times our water was brought. They had no interest in interacting with us; we were not offered a cheese course nor given an option on the dessert (although we saw others getting the same fixed lunch were given a choice). The expectations were already high and to exceed it is not easy. But is was an outstanding experience. Especially a starter with langoustine (Fine raviole de langoustine),and the John Dury /Saint Pierre (Epais filet de Saint-Pierre doré,avocat et légumes croquants saisis aux noix de cajou, écume à la citronnelle et gingembre) were of exceptional quality and in the range of best ever had. Service is very good, only a bit strange that there was no goodbye or wishing you a pleasant evening or stay. After settling the bill we just walked out. Another issue is that there our a lot of guests smoking. And only one couple was so civilized it went to the garden to smoke. It might be an incident or th...

Having booked and been very french by arriving at exactly midday we were given a lovely table at the front of the terrace. The lunch menu (59 euros including 2 glasses of wine p.p ) was fine and the desserts were worthy of a place on the podium.Service was discreet but quick. I should add that booking is all but essential here

We had been at this place some 20 years ago when the food was delicious and simple. Today it is still in parts, but much too sophisticated for a restaurant like this. Overall a disappointment, though the setting is still full of charm.
