We've eaten in a lot of places in and around Le Baux and St Remy, .....this is by far the best! Lunch comprises three menus. Full degustation, or starter/ main (entree) and desert (including 2 glasses of wine) (€59) from the degustation menu/or a la carte. We went with the selection from the degustation selection (€59)- outstanding value and sublime food. We began with escargot in a cream sauce with pine nuts on a pearl barley base, utterly delicious! Also ordered was the melon gazpacho with gambas, fabulous! Our mains were hake with truffles- divine, and swordfish with candied orange again simply fantastic. Desert was an exquisite strawberry compilation with mint and biscuit cheesecake base (see photos)- delicious. I consider myself very well travelled and well indulged and this was up there with the best from around the world. The service was outstanding as is the location (and the wines). If you are anywhere close this is the MUST visit venue. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. Then when you arrive just indulge all your senses. Go, go now, it's great!

We booked a table for 4 for lunch outside. Upon arriving they showed us to a beautiful table but near some heavy smokers. We asked, in French, to be re-seated and they were very accommodating. The service was all down hill thereafter. We asked for water, and watched as a couple were seated, water and an amuse bouche were brought their way. After asking 2 more times our water was brought. They had no interest in interacting with us; we were not offered a cheese course nor given an option on the dessert (although we saw others getting the same fixed lunch were given a choice). When clean silverware was brought, it was almost thrown on the table rather than placed. A huge disappointment that turned a lovely setting and high quality food into a memorably poor experience on what was an otherwise wonderful trip.

Located outside of town (only by a few minute car ride), the setting is beautiful in this hotel restaurant. It is well staffed and efficient. I think you have to pay more for your meal here versus in town but it may be worth the splurge to experience something different. Food is high quality, lots of variety with an attentive staff.
