Encouraged by generally positive reviews at a BYOW restaurant we reserved La Campagnola for our family gathering. The place was quite busy for a Sunday evening early booking. The decor was tired and drab. We were put in a corner with our group of 14 adults and 2 kids divided into two tables. That was unwelcome, as we would have preferred a long table. There was certainly the space to have done that. It was over 20 minutes before water and another 5 minutes for bread to appear. The waitress was not attentive. When you have small children prompt service makes a big difference. We found the food very uneven in quality. I had an excellent Salmon Tartar app. My main of a Seafood Casserole was a h...

I heard great things about this place and wanted to check it out with my friends. The service:We waited 45 minutes to get a table even though we made reservations weeks in advance. We also waited 45 minutes to receive our order which is unacceptable since the table next to us sat after us and got their appetizers and their main course before us because the restaurant management knew them. The food: We took the pasta fruitti di mare, which basically taste like they poured a bag of salt Chef Boyardee pasta would've been a better option. The osco bucco ravioli gave my friend heart burn for how the ingredients were poor quality. The truffle fries were brown due to old oil and so crispy it was obvi...

We were two, really wanting to like the place. We ordered the highly recommended Joes Meatball to start. The sauce was very lacklustre, just chunks of tomato, didnt taste like cooked Italian sauce, but rather a tangy uncooked sauce. We ordered the orecchiette and the Osso Bucco Ravioli. Again, the filling in the ravioli didnt taste like anything of quality. The orecchiette we were told is a "fresh dish with rapini"....no rapini, just some arugula - no garlic - again, just not very appetizing. The service was cordial, nothing negative to say about the service. Perhaps our expectations were quite high when we saw the ratings prior to going here, would definitely not return. Very pricy for the...

This is a rare gem. A neighbourhood restaurant that has a fantastic menu. Authentic Italian cuisine, with a very hospitable staff. Joe, Dino and their sister (sorry, I never got her name) are welcoming hosts and make sure that you feel at home. They often add a special appetizer, and several staff members make sure you are well served. The menu is diversified with usual Pastas, Pizzas and veal dishes and their meat dishes are well worth the few extra dollars. Great to see a locally owned and operated gem like this thriving a midst the sea of Chain competitors.Bravo Nice Place, Good Food and remarkable service.

Stopped by while on work trip and was surprised by how great the food was, despite the positive review here. The building and decor is quite unassuming, and the service a little odd, but the food was faultless. Solid menu with something for everyone - great pizza/pasta, with extensive traditional Italian veal, as well as their own aged and marbled meats. I didn't try the deserts as the meal servings were quite large, but they looked great (had made chocolates etc). However, it does NOT serve wine/alcohol - bring your own. I hope to visit again when I have more time.

I went with my girlfriend on Saturday we had a bruchetta as appetizer, she had spaghetti with shrimp and I the lasagna with a creme brûler as desert. Our waiter was Jonathan I believe and the whole staff was friendly, my glass of water was never empty, they gave us some sample pizza and everything was great. I do find the price for the food a little pricey given the decor and location such as $39 for spaghetti and shrimp or $18 for bruchetta (with meat) even as a BYOB. That is the only negative thing I can say but other than that great food but even better staff!

As soon as u walk in the place u can smell the beautiful aromas of the cooking . Staff is just so friendly warm . Our waitress Grace was very welcoming and really accommodated us due to my allergies. I had fettuccine with veal and my boyfriend had the lamb . Great meal , great service and amazing ambiance !!

A friend of my son arranged a birthday bash for his 50th birthday in the front room of this restaurant. The service was most friendly and helpful. They poured the champagne at this BYOB and brought ice buckets where needed. The appetizers were fabulous including sliced meats
