In the middle of a low rise shopping 'estate' just outside Agen, I wasn't expecting great things. We had our usual lunch of 6 oysters followed by fish soup, our friends had other options. The oysters were beautifully fresh and the fish soup was delicious. The rest of the party were delighted with their meals. Everything was impeccably presented by cheerful staff, with wine, water and bread brought swiftly. Ambience is sophisticated and modern. I had 6 Oleron oysters with a glass of champagne...superb quality. My husband had a mix of smoked salmon, Norwegian, Scottish and wild...each one very different an fall fantastic. I then had the whole Dover sole from the a la carte, whilst my husband had a 12 euro dish of the day...whole lemon sole. Whilst mine was enormous and cooked to perfection, I can only say that the lemon sole my husband had was huge, with such white, flaky flesh it tasted like it had jumped from the sea to his plate...I was envious. Along with...

spotted this by chance whilst shopping .arrived at12-30 to discover a packed buzzy smart restaurant. delightful front of the house staff had no hesitation in giving us the last table despite it being set for 4 and were2.spoilt for choice with the menu although next time we might go with a tapas selection. Which was equally enticing . short but fine wine selection [Dominque Andiron] energising atmosphere and a well loved and frequented local .also has a fine fish / deli shopbooking a must
