Cachée en périphérie de la ville, vous trouverez La Cantine Gourmande. Nous logions à proximité à Saint Cannat, et notre hôte Air bnb nous a suggéré La Cantine. Nous avons eu de la chance, car c'était l'un des rares restaurants ouverts ce soir-là (ils sont cependant fermés le samedi et le dimanche). Nous avons commandé à la carte du jour et avons été très satisfaits- l'un de nous a pris du poisson, l'autre du poulet, les deux étaient excellents. Nous y avons finalement dîné trois fois en 2 semaines, car c'était pratique et bon rapport qualité/prix. Grande sélection de vins locaux également. Le propriétaire était toujours très sympathique et serviable pour les traductions et les suggestions....
During a recent trip to the Provence area of southern France, my husband and I had the chance to eat at a restaurant called La Cantine in the village of Lambesc. It was clean, well decorated, and the service was excellent. But the reason we drove back to it a second time was the food. We were with local people on both visits, and though I am not a French cuisine expert myself, our companions are, and they had nothing but praise for the authenticity and quality of the food. I just know it was delicious enough to go back for! We look forward to dining there again on our next trip.
Unsophisticated menu. The food needs finesse. For example, the Corsican charcuterie board meats should have been sliced thinly (cured meat is dry and quite tough - thick slices and chunks require the strongest of teeth - so would have also benefited from accompaniments such as cucumber and tomatoes to offer moisture and another texture). The starters should perhaps not be so obviously pre-prepared (chilled items in round shapes placed in a centre of plates). Friendly service. Accommodating for families. Nice big car park giving easy access.
Mon partenaire et moi avons eu un excellent repas ici pendant notre séjour dans cette belle ville. De délicieux plats français, de superbes recommandations de vins locaux et un environnement très relaxant. C'était agréable de se sentir si bien accueillis et de bénéficier d'un service excellent malgré notre maîtrise limitée de la langue française. Je recommande vivement.

Nous sommes arrivés à 19 heures, l'endroit était vide mais à 19h30, il était plein Très bonne nourriture dans une ambiance agréable Bon prix pour un dîner en famille qui aime la musique L'endroit est décoré avec de la musique - quand vous arriverez, vous comprendrez
Très bon déjeuner et vin local. Beaucoup de choix différents de plats du jour. J'ai commandé du poisson que je regrette. Mes amis ont pris du poulet qui était délicieux. Beaucoup d'habitants. Ne soyez pas pressé et vous payez au bar.

The food was amazing, the service was very friendly and personal. We will be back before we leave this area. We are from Seattle and felt very at home while eating here. But mostly the food was so very good!
