La Capucine - Réserver une table

Having checked out all the cafes we could find in Giverny, this was the last we came to and we wish we'd found it first. Self-service meant no queues. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Indoor and outdoor seating - all clean. Prices were very reasonable, unlike most others in the village.Set on one side of a courtyard garden with an attractive gift shop, an ice-cream seller and background music. A perfect fit for the beautiful village.We will return to Giverny and we will return to La Capucine.

We didn't expect a cafeteria style cafe to be as good as it was! Their homemade soup was out of this world and the sandwiches and desserts were quite good

There appeared to be a number (probably up to 10) of places that offered light meals within a short walk of Giverny.

This was just a short distance down the road from Monet's house, and we decided to stop in here for some lunch.
