I took my mother (who lives in the area) here for what should have been a special meal but unfortunately we were left disappointed. the setting is lovely on the patio of a garden with a fountain and beautiful plants/mature trees. the seating is white plastic garden furniture, they could get something slightly nicer but no big deal. the menu is mainly seafood and we went for starters of shrimps and 'saumon gateux '. the latter we assumed was a fishcake and so would be cooked but it came out as a pile of raw salmon, i very politely apologised to the head waitress and said that i misunderstood and did not like raw salmon she looked very annoyed and just shrugged her shoulders; i have honestly never experienced such rudeness in a restaurant before! we then ate an amuse boouche of taponade on toasts, my mother but into it and crunched her tooth on an entire olive stone hidden in the paste. it caused her great discomfort and she (v politely again we never want to make a scene/conflict) mentioned to the waitress her response was to laugh at us! by this point our evening was ruined and so we finished the rest of the meal as quickly as we could and left. the food was average, we had 3 courses and the best was the shrimp starter. we both had white fish for main and they were paired with flavours so strong (anchovy/garlic in one case, bacon in the other) that you could not taste the fish at all. both desserts (nougat ice cream and chocolate dome) were disappointing. overall it would have been an ok experience given the setting is so nice but an expensive meal (130 euros for 2 x 3 course set menus with a bottle of wine) was ruined by quite unbelievable rude service from the head waitress.

We stopped in here after a lovely walk on the harbor. The restaurant has a traditional feel and the owner was absolutely charming. She has a large collection of turtles that she couldn't wait to show off. It was a bit like dining at a friend's. The food was great and we truly spent a lovely moment dining at Chanterelle.

We loved the fish soup, the dos de maigre and the amazing dome au chocolat. Mrs Perot is the perfect Master of ceremony, managing efficiently this pleasant family business

We are staying at the hotel L'Escapade for a wonderful holiday. The restaurant belongs to the hotel and is located in a beautiful garden. We had a great evening there.
