Wow, this was really above and beyond expectations! We were sitting outside by the lovely garden. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a nice welcoming waiter, setting the calm and relaxed atmosphere. Thorough explanation of the menu. We went for the 8 course degustation menu, and wow, what a good choice! The dishes differ during the season according to seasonal vegetables (all from the garden). All dishes tasted amazing with respect for the natural flavours from the garden. Beautifully presented with vibrant colours. The dishes arrived at perfect timing. It's difficult to really explain and give justice to this amazing experience. Just go there and try it yourself! It's really one...

We had lunch here, outside on the terrace on a beautiful day in April, purely as a result of the recommendation some years ago of the English gardener and TV presenter, Monty Don. The whole experience was as close to perfection as imaginable, with its intimate connection between culinary sophistication and on-site horticulture. The menu is no longer entirely vegetarian, but the cuisine is nonetheless dominated by imaginative and exciting use of home-grown produce which you can see in the attractive potager. The food and cuisine have an extra dimension when they are so closely connected with the "terroir". The staff were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. The lady somm...

I had not visited La Chassagnette for many years and it was a great re-discovery. The cuisine, which 5 years ago surprised by its innovation, has now reached full blown maturity. Each dish is a balanced composition of delicate savours, at the cross-road between Far East and Camargue, with the respect, common to both Japanese and French cookings, that the Chef is merely there to magnify the products by delicate brushstrokes and associations. No gimmicks and no extravaganza, but a form of neo-classism, essential and refined. Also worth mentioning is a very interesting wine list, managed by a curious mind with hidden gems at reasonable price. At lunch time in the Summer, the outdoor terrace she... I called this restaurant on a Thursday mid day for lunch, knowing it was outside of Arles and expecting it would not be busy. An English speaking woman (I would later find out was Canadian), said that it was completely booked and impossible to fit us in (table of three). Five minutes later we drove by the restaurant to find the parking lot had three cars so we went in. I had my son who speaks fluent French go in and ask for a table. Lo and behold the restaurant was only 2/3 full and never got busier than that.We were seated and had a delicious lunch. They fibbing hostess approached our table and carried on about her multi- lingual background, we can only imagine she figured out that she was...

I was lucky enough to be a guest at a family lunch recently. We had a perfectly sumptuous gastronomic experience with highlights being the prawn ceviche, the pigeon and the chocolate cookie (never had a chocolate cookie like that before). The flavours were subtle and sublime. The service however was slow. It is a beautiful setting for a summer lunch in the Camargue, with good protection from the sun in the form of a permanent structure covered in canes.

A magical place. Garden to table...an approachable and charismatic chef, impeccable service all around. Not to miss if you are within 100 km of this restaurant. Natural wines on the list a big bonus ! Réservez une table maintenant

Had a wonderfully long relaxing lunch here with a friend. Great vegetarian options grown in their own garden. Excellent wine and exceptional service. A delicious treat.
