we have come to this hotel since 1999, not every year, but very regular to covid; this visit was our third shift. first there were not enough guests to put on the usual evening buffet, so we were able to take place from the...a la carte menus, as this is a public restaurant as well as for residents. this time the food palette has drastically expanded, as the nearby Chinese restaurant is permanently closed and the chef has joined the kitchen team in la ciguenya. the food quality was excellent; there is also a Thai menu, as well as traditional Spanish and international decisions. the pizza menu, always a favorite, is extensive and they can choose between thinner or thicker crust for the basic....
I have visited this hotel many times during my life and was so happy every time! beautiful outsight and amazing eating! the staff is so friendly and very helpful. the pool is amazing, and also has a gym. the breakfast buffet is...heavy! the dinner menu changes every day and they put the menu board out every morning so they can decide what they do for teatime. have not visited since covid for obvious reasons, but hopefully soon back!
how good was la ciguena copied during this trial period. everywhere was so clean and tidy, the staff was fantastic and always so helpful. eating was amazing, so much choice and very well cooked. that's really my home from home. I feel so...safe in la ciguena, how everything is organized with such a carefree for all of us living. next year.
Was hoping to try some of the famous Spanish cuisine as I'd heard amazing reviews from last year about the seafood however, unfortunately, the limited menu of mainly pizzas (presumably due to COVID) meant that this wasn't possible. Regardless, the pizzas were stunning and the...paella was delicious for an incredibly reasonable price.
