La Clef d'Or - Réservation de table

Booked here for a party of four because had been informed that there was a new tenant and new chef and because of the magnificent view this restaurant enjoys. We found the service terrible, only 3 staff to service a full restaurant, the filets de perches were ok but the sole meunière fried until they were entirely dry and when I saw one waiter serve and prepare the filets at another table, he was so clumsy that we asked to be served the entire soles on our plates and not just the filets. The fries that were confirmed to be house made were not but just deepfrozen stuff every one can by him or herself in the supermarket. Apparently the restaurant was very busy, I only ate a snack plate as there seemed to be reservations everywhere and I didn't want to disrupt the process. So I sat on the beautiful outdoor terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and the Alps. Nothing was set up here because it would be too cold for dinner. That was just right for me because as a cyclist traveling through from Neuchatel I could still tolerate some cool air. Afterwards I went to my room and enjoyed the good atmosphere of the room and the very good mattress. The breakfast was great. What surprised me was that there were no other overnight guests to be seen. Probably already out of season?!

We ate here yesterday evening with friends “la chasse”. The starter, ravioli de lièvre, was mouthwater; the Chevreuil was delicious, served with all the usual sides, and the Dessert Superb. The wine from the village white and red was beautiful. Friendly and efficient staff attended a very pleasant evening. It was the first time for us in this restaurant, but definitely not the last. Very recommended.

Beautiful location with a magnificent terrace overlooking the lake. Lunch menu is a good choice and price. The tables are always full and there is a nice atmosphere to chat with all. The servers were very friendly. Réservez une table maintenant

Magnificent terrace with lake view. Very good meal, a little expensive perhaps but for real cuisine with Swiss ingredients it's worth it. Top notch service! THANKS

The warm welcome by the team and super clean rooms are almost shadowed but he beauty of the Terrasse view and the good cusine
