Had lunch here, following my husbands ride up (and descent) Mont Ventoux. What a fabulous place! Lovely shady terrace and fantastic food. Great wine choices too. We chose a menu and had the Morue (salt cod) starter. Not only was it visually appealing it was absolutely delicious. And so many wonderful textures. A very accomplished dish. This was followed by a Pintade (guinea fowl) dish. Roast Pintade on a beautiful creamy Spelt risotto with a tasty ratatouille. Everything was just so beautifully cooked and presented. My husband then had the cheese plate and I had the apricot dessert. Oh I could eulogise all day about the dessert. The chef is seriously talented. Fantastic service too. And we are going back. Already booked.
We booked this restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The meal was first class and the setting on the terrace was beautiful. We choose the 4 course set menu which included Foire Gras and the most excellent lamb which was all beautifully presented. The service was good and it was a lovely evening. I think this is the best food we have had in France for a long time and highly recommended. We were celebrating our Anniversary but there was a real mix of customers although interestingly not many french. We took a taxi from Bédoin which was well worth it as La Colombe is about 4 miles from the town.
We found this lovely place via Trip Advisor. My husband and I are vegetarian and do struggle in France. We had a set meal with a marked Vegetarian starter and main meal what a relief! Very pretty place we cycled 2 3 miles uphill from Bedoin in 30 degrees it was well worth the effort. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented. Will definitely come back. .
