We’ve eaten in many Michelin star restaurants and this food was easily up with some of the best. It’s also really interesting seeing the chefs at work and the wonderful calm efficiency and attention to detail of all of them. Although it’s a 9 course tasting menu we didn’t feel stuffed by the end as it was a well balanced and well paced meal. There were items that I wouldn’t choose but when they’re so well cooked you just enjoy them. We enjoyed the accompanying wines which were served in a way that you could choose how many you had. But for me who is not a big fan of desserts the piece de resistance was the dessert. A light, crispy delicious mix of nut cream, caramel and I know I’m not nearly doing this justice. Would we go back absolutely. As we ate here in October we didn’t appreciate how popular it was but they took our number and phoned to say a table was free when it initially hadn’t been so booking is definitely recommended.
Having been coming to Sète for a number of years, we had heard of this restaurant’s reputation but that had not prepared us for the delightfulness of the experience. No menu, the proposition is straightforward; the chef chooses what is in season and decides for you. We had said that we eat fish but not meat and this didn’t present any problem. And then the delights started. If l had to pick a particular highlight, it was the tuna and smoked mackerel with parmesan ice cream. Simply stunning! The service is attentive and warm. Go to this restaurant for a memorable evening.
I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped in. Inventive, delicious dishes in a chic, relaxed atmosphere. Wine choices that stood out. View of the sea until after sunset when the dark blue water and sky slowly blend into each other. Reserve ahead of time, sit back, and enjoy!
