La Cote Vermeille

We had an enjoyable meal, but this was the first time we had been back since the pandemic and things have changed. The restaurant has changed hands since our last visit in 2020 so it is appropriate to review what they are doing now, rather than compare what they are doing now with how the restaurant was previously. It is no longer a fine dining experience in the traditional sense but that is not to diminish the dining experience. It was an attractive menu and a good wine list. We enjoyed rouget, oysters tuna and veal all beautifully cooked. The main dishes tended to be garnished with fruit, which I understand is part of the chef 's objective to enhance the seafood, and that put an interesting twist on the flavour combinations. The decor has changed in keeping with the changes to the menus and the current business objectives. It is still a very nice place to eat in the heart of the harbour and a stones throw from the fish market. Service was friendly and efficient.

If you enjoy food , you’ll love this restaurant but you have to book as it’s taken me many years to manage to get a reservation when I’m visiting. The beef starter was truly amazing as were the oysters. We all had the fish which was a lovely texture but I found the sauce not quite to my taste. The desserts were worth waiting for. The upstairs terrace is cheaper than the downstairs restaurant and you can have a la carte or they menu du jour at about 30€ for 3 courses. Will be going back!

We had dinner at La Cote Vermeille. The restaurant was full so we were seated on the terrasse which was fine by us. The view is nice but the setting is rather plain as was the wellcome and the service. We didn't feel like eating a menu and so we choose both to have two starters each for dinner. The food was good, fresh and well prepared and so was the housewine. The bill for our modest repas was surprisingly high.

Booked this place via Facebook and it was a great! Sitting by the window overlooking the port we enjoyed some superb fish and meat dishes. The wine list was fairly priced and the Americano cocktails superbly dry! All in all, we would recommend and recisit

We had a truly delicious lunch with friends,the service was excellent and the food and presentation was absolutely delicious.
