La Cremaillere - Réserver une table

If you are looking for another example of an out of the way village with no apparent commercial activity going on but a restaurant worth going to, then La Crémaillère in Anlhiac is well worth a try. It is just off the main road through the village, modern looking, bright, clean, and spacious inside with plenty of parking outside. The large dining room off to the right hand side had armchairs and comfortable seating at the end, presumably to wait for your table when it’s busy. We swigged Sangria aperos to start while we waited for our Crudites Italian style to arrive. When it did it was certainly a plate bursting with ingredients. Lettuce, Haricots Verts, Sweetcorn, Tomatoes, Red Pepper, Beet...

J'avais entendu de très bonnes choses sur la Crémaillère depuis sa réouverture, alors j'étais impatient de la visiter. Cependant, ce n'était pas du tout une bonne expérience. Nous avons tous opté pour le menu du jour, mon père a choisi la soupe et mon mari et moi les champignons à la Grecque. La soupe de mon père est arrivée en portion minuscule dans une grande soupière qu'il a fallu basculer pour verser dans le bol, comme on le ferait pour obtenir les vrais restes d'une plus grande soupière. Il a dit que c'était juste correct et aucun pain n'a été proposé. Son entrée a été débarrassée avant même que les boissons n'arrivent et nous attendions toujours notre entrée! La nôtre était tout aussi...

Le personnel était très accueillant même si nous n'avions pas réservé et que nous avions notre chien avec nous, un bol d'eau est rapidement arrivé pour lui. Il y avait un choix varié sur le menu et la nourriture était bien présentée et très savoureuse. Nous avons passé un délicieux déjeuner et nous reviendrons certainement.

Un accueil chaleureux et agréable à notre arrivée, très propre et de délicieux plats faits maison. Un endroit charmant et plaisant. Facile à trouver. Parle un peu anglais pour ceux qui ne maîtrisent pas bien le français. Parking à l'extérieur. Accueille les chiens. Nos visiteurs ont adoré. Nous y retournerons.

Everything about this restaurant is lovely. The food is really nice and you get decent portion sizes. The service is also good, service with a smile, nice and chatty waitress. Pleasant terrace and inside is very well decorated. We will be going back, with friends next time, highly recommended.
