Located on the left hand side of the Basilica Menor in Giron.They have lots of Desserts, Pastries, Cookies, Cakes, Bread, Malts, Soft Drinks and Coffee - Black, Capuchinno etc.; Turnovers, Buñuelos, Sandwiches, Panzerotti & Papas Rellenas.Nice tables, very clean, well designed.The bad thing here is, that you have to pay first before ordering, and there are no signs or menu info at the cashier; so when you go sit on a table, they deliver the menu, and after you decide what to order, you have to go to the cashier and pay; and until then, your order will be processed.And, if there is a long line at the cashier, due to the high demand of their fresh bread, it´s not fair to get in line and spoil your visit.The Waiter / Waitress should take payment at the table, and avoid having seated customers to get in line.Also, the Point of Sale machine should be located AT THE REGISTER, and not behing, and to be handled by the same people who is making the orders; since the cashier is unable to do it herself - so she can keep on taking care of the long line, or because she is not properly trained to do so... getting mad with us just because we are paying with plastic, and not cash.
Stopped by this lovely bakery when we stayed for one night in Giron. First we bought some sandwiches and croissants for lunch which where just amazing.Later after we walked through the town we had some cappucinos and an assortment of cakes and cookies. All of them were equally good. I bet they would not fit in any diet, but they were just great. And there is so much to choose from, from cakes to pies to cookies to bread...This place is definitely worth a stop, either for a quick lunch or just coffee with something sweet, but you cannot pass by if you're in Giron.
