It is difficult to describe the experience at La Cueva de Jero Restaurante Rural without resorting to masses of superlatives.... The restaurant is well “off the beaten track”, although is also well signposted along said “unbeaten track”. It is a charming place in idyllic settings, set into the side of the surrounding rock face, with half the restaurant being a cave. It is cost and the atmosphere is inviting. The host, Gerónimo, is genial, expansive and welcoming .... and the food .... oh good grief the food is an explosion of flavors, all getting together to have the most magnificent party in your mouth. Espectacular, merece la pena ir. La mina es una obra fruto del sudor, valor, trabajo, esfuerzo e inteligencia humana. Muy bien acondicionada, no paro de sorprendernos. La guía M.Sol nos contagio su entusiasmo y el broche final nos desencajo la boca en en ooohhhh!!!!.Sorprendente!!!!!. Al ser reciente su apertura, falta acondicionar el exterior, salas d espera, asientos un barecico. En poco tiempo todo llegará, porque es negocio seguro.
We were staying nearby in Grima and we left it until the last night before coming to eat here. Jero took great care of us and kept us entertained all evening, even while cooking the most amazing food! We pretty much let him decide what to serve us and he didn't put a foot wrong, course after course of the most amazing dishes. What a great night. If we return to the area this restaurant is now on our must-visit list.
Great place for tasting amazing typical food at a unique place. The restaurant is placed in a traditional setting in this area in Andalusia: a cave in a mountain. The place is special and cool but the owners are warm and welcomimg. Let Jero suggest what to eat and enjoy first quality products (all greens are excellent, and meat and the tuna “montaditos” are to die for) in a traditional way.

We found it eventually with the help of the kind man at the nearby petrol station! A delightful place with a lovely warm welcome. Food and drink were both excellent and Jero was entertaining and fun. We’ll certainly return in the future, such a unique experience. We loved it, muchas gracias Jero.
Si buscas calidad y buen precio este es tu lugar. Si buscas comida casera, tranquilidad y muy buen trato, sin duda este es tu lugar. Uno de los mejores restaurantes de comida típica, ecológica, sin gluten y de elaboración propia que puedes encontrar en Almería.
