Wish I had read the other To Good To Go review before I ordered mine as it was the same experience. A bag of greasy burnt sausages bacon. Some chucked in a paper bag which were so greasy the bag disintegrated some placed on cheap brown bread with the middle part slathered with margarine. This scheme is supposed to help ‘food waste’ but this was all inedible so got thrown in the bin. Bag also contained a piece of stale bought in lardy cake. This apparently was £15 worth of food but on a huge positive this is my first experience of the place so I’m very very pleased I hadn’t wasted anymore money by actually eating here. Awful experience. Arrived at 12:15 on 22/08/23 for lunch. Only one other table of two in the cafe at the time. Ordered three meals. First meal (sandwich) took 45 minutes to arrive, followed 10mins later by the second meal (toastie), followed 10 minutes later by the third meal (Avo smash). Lack of communication throughout. Drinks were forgotten about completely and not served until we asked them after food had arrived. The two young members of staff seemed very over whelmed despite it being relatively quiet. Proper brekkie, great sausages, really nice bacon super staff and just the right amount of food. Great cup of tea and it was just nice. Lovely staff, lets dogs in too which is a massive plus. Parking: Small English town. Parking is never easy but that’s to be expected. DO NOT use this for Too Good to Go! Spent £15 on 3 bags to get £45 worth of food. We got: 4 badly burned sausages I ended up binning, 2 plum tomatoes,1 jacket potato,1 pie, 1 pork batch and 3 pieces of stale banana cake that felt like I was eating a house brick. The pork in the batch and jacket potato was nice to eat but unfortunately they're not following the rules for too good to go. We go there quite regularly. Especially since new management have taken over. Always make you feel welcome. Can't do enough for you. Service quick. Always let's u know if a wait is on.
