I was there for a business dinner in nov.19. The place was really good both in terms of food and hospitality. The place inside is charming and typical, outside is just in front of a river were (I suppose because on night time we don’t see anything) you should find the famous ‘digue’. The foigrois degustation was gorgeous and the son of the owner was dealing with the guest like a British gentleman... only much more funny and welcoming! Prices are in line with France (we paid for appetizer, main dish, cafè gourmand a glass of wine 60€/each), and the ratio quality/price is really good. Wines are good and they change often in order to give you many choices! Briefly: lovely place, hot welcome and very good food... there are a lot of reasons to try it, I’ll absolutely come back a soon as Possible...
Situated at the riverbank in the old town of Montaigu this small family owned restaurant takes pride in serving (regional) French dishes using fresh ingredients and surrounding everything with a nice, warm and friendly atmosphere. We closed our summerholiday with the family in this restaurant and really enjoyed ourselves. The crew likes to advice you on your meal and drinks if needed in English. My wife, as vegetarian, had also plenty of choice. We had veal, porc and fish and all were very tasty. Special reference to the desserts, we had the frasier and café gourment . If you are around, treat yourself and your friends to a good meal at La Digue.
We booked a hotel at Nantes airport and stopped here before checking in. We were warmly greeted and service was exceptional throughout. The food was of exceptional quality and very well priced, with lots of house specials. Thin crust pizza, terrific steak with home cooked chips and an excellent café gourmand. Will definitely come again the next time we stay at the airport.
Had a fantastic meal here on our way to Nantes. Different class of food. Had amuse bouche on the house, carpaccio for starters, gorgeous duckleg confit with crispy chips. Couldn't manage dessert. The manager was great, spoke very good English and was very helpful. Lovely quiet spot beside the river.
