There were 8 of us for dinner. It took more than 20 minutes to receive our drinks after ordered. There was one basket of bread left on the table which was burnt on the bottom and sides. When we asked for more bread the waiter made an off hand comment about us being greedy. When the salad came, one salad was completely wrong, but they were fresh. Dinner was, unfortunately, not good. All three chicken Parmesan had overcooked chicken that required a steak knife to cut. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was delicious. The latest order was among the worst delivery food I have had in a long time, Start with the bowl of Portuguese soup, I paid extra for a bowl and got a tiny container of green flavorless broth with 2 tiny potatoes and 6 beans, 10 dollars for this was outrageous. The Calamari I ordered was so overcooked it was not even chewable and the coating was so wet it was just mush, I threw the entire container away. The salad that came was pretty plain but did have a few pieces of wilted lettuce mixed in. The churros for dessert were ok. Food here seems to be declining and after this last purchase I will not order again or even dine in. I used to really like the food here so it's pretty disappointing.
First the good news. The service was excellent. The salads were fresh. The bread was tasty. My wife said her veal sorrentino was very good. I passed the fancier entrees for a simple dish of pasta and meatballs. The pasta was cooked right, the sauce was good, but the meatballs were dreadful. They were pasty and had a very weird taste. In short, they were virtually inedible and I didn't finish them. I don't know if this is La Familia's usual way of making meatballs, if this was an off night, or a summer intern made them.
Food was excellent. It was definitely a bit slower than we wanted. Young girl server probably not much experience. They just really weren't on top of things but the food was good and the place is nice and we would definitely go back. Prices are a bit high for the area for sure. But overall nice restaurant and would recommend

Food is good but they nickel and dime you. Their large bottle of Pellegrino sparkling water is $12. Which is ridiculous. I get the same bottle at other restaurants between $6 and $8. If you want a different veggie there's an up charge which I get but $6
I love coming to this place every time we visit family in MA. I can never take photos cause I'm so excited to eat the Portuguese steaks here. So yummy
Really delicious food. And the atmosphere, and decorations or the place were amazing! I highly suggest anyone in the area check this place out!
Food is awesome. Anything with red sauce is great and you must save room for the creme brulee. It's a little noisy.
