We were a group of 10 to have dinner on Thursday evening. First impressions very good; attractive interior, central log fire, nice long table and attentive initial service.Since this restaurant has a cheese "factory" in the basement, and specializes in fondues, my wife and I decided to have cheese fondue aux ceps. Others ha suckling pig, guinea fowl, etc. Wines ordered and brought efficiently - no problem! Until the fondue arrived - the burner was put on the table, the pot on top, but the fondue was lukewarm and its consistency was like chewing gum, stringy and thick. We have eaten in most restaurants in Morzine as we live here and hadn't tried this one before. Reviews appeared to be good so thought we would give it a try. We had a fireside table which was lovely. Tartiflette was excellent, duck was tough, fatty and chewy and the mont-d'or box of cheese with charcuterie was good. Salad was something else. It was so smothered with think dressing it was obvious they were trying to disguise the fact that the lettuce should have already gone to the compost. It was 90% ice burg lettuce - come on! Arrived at the restaurant with high expectations, had a reservation for 7:00 pm and at that time we were the only customers in the restaurant. The fondue was ordered and cleared explained to the waitress that there is only 1 order of fondue, to our disappointment we were charged for 2 orders. We did not fight it as at the time to pay we were fed up with the service. The local win e ordered was average.We had ordered also the perch plate which was had a bad taste, the suckling pig and that duck. Since we could not finish our meals we asked to have them packed for take over. Me, my family and friends ate here while our hosts was off for evening meal. Can honestly say that I was expecting better regarding how high the prices were! The food was quite nice it's just the service. The waiters/waitresses should know more about serving fine dining, it should come with a bit of training. When the waitress took the drinks order she took 5 beers order when there was 11 of us and then walked off, she didn't offer wine, soft drinks for the kids or anything! Moi, mon mari et mes 2 fils (âgés de 13 et 11 ans) sommes allés au restaurant le jeudi 20 février 2020. Dès l'instant où nous sommes entrés jusqu'à la minute de notre départ, il semblait que le personnel avait hâte de se débarrasser de nous. Ils nous ont précipités à travers nos apéritifs, nos entrées et notre dîner. The prices here are really quite high so expect a big bill at the end - €27 per person for fondue to share is definitely topping the budget. That said, the fondue was out of this world and super tasty with the breads and salad. Unfortunately the meat was not to my taste - a big to piggy flavoured however this is personal preference. I would recommend - the building itself is gorgeous and the roaring fire in the middle of the room sets a perfect atmosphere for a romantic or family meal. Was too full to try dessert, but their selection of ice cream flavours left me very intrigued!!

The atmosphere was great, log fire with hydraulic glass window. Menu limited but interesting. We enjoyed our starter, I ordered duck as a main, worried it might be blue. Sadly it was overdone and tough, the vegetables did not go with the meal. My partner eat all her pig and veg', I left more than half. The waitress when clearing was told, its overcooked and tough, she said she would inform the chef. We heard no more, no apology, bill was for full cost.

We have been great fans of this restaurant since it opened a few years ago. It is beautifully appointed and the service is friendly and efficient. The menu is different to the usual mountain fare and the meat dishes have been invariably excellent. On this visit, I experienced my first fish dish there - perch. Very fresh, perfectly cooked and nicely served. Will be there again, before long. Réservez une table maintenant
