"The interior decoration is great, the service was great, but the entrecôte we ordered was not good. I hope it was only bad luck. The dessert was nice to look at and tasted well, too. :-)"

On arrival, friendly and welcoming staff. A glass of champagne quickly brought. Service was efficient and friendly. My wife had the menu at Euro 31, I had the menu at Euro 43. First courses, carpaccio tomate and terrine of foie gras: well presented and tasty. Main courses- OMG. I had the breast of duck. It was huge, tough and tasteless. I left two thirds of it, and told the waitress as she removed it that it had no flavour- pas de saver. For my wife's main course she had accepted "white fish" as a substitute for the unavailable merlan. It seemed to have been frozen a long way from Deauville and she left most of it. The desserts - crepes au Normande and poor belle Helene - were acceptable. So with the starters and the desserts, and a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of Chablis, it had all the makings of a pleasant meal, but it was let down by the main courses. As we left I mentioned to the staff that the canard etait degoutant but there was no particular reaction.

This restaurant was next door to our hotel and so convenient for our first night in Deauville. It was a Friday night so we had the added pleasure of a pianist playing throughout the evening. The restaurants layout is quite spacious so it gave the illusion of being not very busy and not very intimate. For us this detracted from the overall ambiance. The menu was good and the food was well cooked and presented. The wine list was extensive but also quite expensive and the food was perhaps a little above average in cost. We enjoyed our evening but the restaurant does not get five stars because as my wife has just confirmed my opinion in saying it was all very nice but not really a wow! -for us! However it could well be a wow for others!

Having surveyed the offerings all along the main streets, and seen nothing that called out to us, we then stumbled across this restaurant. The a la carte menu is expensive but the lunchtime set menu seemed reasonably priced so we entered. Seated near the front window, service was both prompt andpolite. Probably not worth mentioning the individual dishes in detail as they presumably change frequently, but two courses, wine and coffee for Eu21.50 is pretty good value for the high standard provided. Not large portions but adequate for a light lunch.Hint, we arrived at around 12.45 and subsequently after around 1.30 we saw people being turned away, both in person and telephone calls.

food was good but nothing special and for the prices which was 75 euros a person excluding wine . Steak was great but my husbands duck was average. It's a. Eat restaurant at and if you stick to the grill you are sure to eat well.
