First time in Sierra Nevada for my wife and I. FYI . I spent 35 years in the food business. My option is as follows...... Christmas Eve so most Restaurants book out but managed to get a table here for 6.oc. What a BAD decision. We got a tasting starter of liver Pâté, which was fine. We ordered Foie gras for staters which came with cooked apple, jam and marmalade with sliced toasted bread roll. We got about 10 slices, 4 were properly toasted!! The Foie gras was hard and brittle, very poor storage , I suggest. For our main we ordered the Mexican fondue with chillies, crispy jalapeños, Mexican pancakes and crispy meats. We had a very poor experience at this restaurant. Upon arriving the waitress was quite rude, telling us that there was no tables despite the restaurant being empty. She then checked and told us we could eat but must leave for 9 as the table was reserved. No problem for us, that left plenty of time. Then we were given a menu in English, we ordered croquettes: 3 cheese with jam and prawn and kimchi, and I double checked that the rosti zermatt we ordered had no meat in it with the waitress. She confirmed no meat (we’re pescatarian). We also ordered the Fondue Geneve (no meat).
