La Fontaine aux Grives

a long time ago you could taste the wine before buying, the cold meat (charcuterie) plate was everything you can eat, including the foie gras. there was perhaps less choice, but quality and quantity were there, now that's quite good. but the beautiful atmosphere is missing. it is not the unmistakable retaurant that it was earlier, even if they should not be disappointed by the food they serve.

There was maybe less choice but quality and quantity was there. Now the food is still quite good but the nice atmosphere is missing. It's not the unmissable retaurant it used to be, even if you shouldn't be disappointed by the food they serve.

I came here on Tuesday night. cozy place, beautiful and attentive service. my choice was an salat la grivoise with foie grass, chicken legs. a really generous part at 19 euro. together with a glass red wine at 4 euro was this. a nice dinner.

Such a disappointment. Cold food. Poor and arrogant service. Expensive to boot! The worst of the worst in a country that is suppose to be famous for its food and fine dining.
