We ate here in order to soak up the Folie Douces fun as it gathered momentum for the afternoon. Warm welcome, allowed to change table quickly as beneath a speaker (come here if you enjoy the show and music! food arrived promptly, staff are quick to notice and respond. My duck confit under mash I can't remember the French title was moist and flavoursome, likewise the braised lamb. Our kids wolfed down the burger and linguine. Yes its expensive, but the whole mountain is. The Folie Douces is good thumping fun. Think what you like... everyone enjoys it, and there were multiple generations doing plenty of arm waving and fist pumping.

1 star is too good. We ordered a starter to share between 3 of us. It was minuscule and eye wateringly expensive €39 ! We sent it back. Meanwhile we sat around swarmed by giant flies. The gnocchi was bland and didn't have all the ingredients advertised. If it was actually home made I would be astonished [the chef should find another job]. The Risotto was ok but a stupid price. The fish and chips a joke [the chips were ok]. The waiter then asked us if we wanted to add a tip. What a chancer. Dont forget service is included in France.

Well, what to say.... trendy waiters but unfortunately not really fit for a restaurant. 10 minutes waiting at a table and no one came to ask us what we would like drink or maybe give us the menu (that’s what a restaurant is meant to be or do right! . And unfortunately we did not get the chance to taste the dishes as we decided to walk away... but my guess, they just don’t care as much as having a tidy barb and a pair of trendy sunglasses. I would understand if it was a very busy time of the day but it was rather quiet.
