"The food Thierry created for the hundred guests at our daughter's wedding in La Croix Valmer in June was exceptional as was the service and presentation. All the thank you letters commented very positively about the reception dinner. We have visited La Grange twice now and would thoroughly recommend it."

The food here was so spectacular I had to write my first review. I went to this restaurant about 10 years ago with my parents when it was a lovely little bistro serving good food. I finally had a chance to return this year with my partner. Firstly I was blown away by the beautiful refurb that they have done on the place, we were sat down at a lovely little table by the very friendly maitre d. On looking at the menu I decided to go for the 45€ menu, which was 4 plates of food based around the in season Truffle. My partner chose the 38€ menu, where she had a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts. We then chose a bottle of rose from the wine menu. It was so nice to see that the wine was locally sourced. The bottle we chose wasn't in stock but the maître d recommended another bottle for the same price but nicer flavours. We were given a 2013 Pampelone Rose. Firstly the wine was delicious and accompanied my food amazingly. To the food.My first starter was a beautiful mushroom soup served in a tall show glass, which was a great warm up for what I was about to eat. My first starter of the truffle menu was, poached egg with celeriac mash topped with a truffle foam and truffle shavings. Very light and packed full of delicate flavours.Second I had a artichoke soup topped with a truffle cream, again very light on the pallet and packed full of flavourMain was a supreme of chicken with mange tout, gnocchi, sun dried tomatoes and a cream and truffle sauce. I thought the sun dried tomatoes would kill the flavour but they went beautifully. Last but definitely not least I had a chocolate mouse with a vanilla and truffle ice cream which topped of the night spectacularly.I thought that eating all that truffle might get a bit much but due to the expertise of the chef Thierry the flavours balanced so well, that it wasn't over powering. My partners food was spectacular also and with our wine our bill came to 113€. I would very much recommend this beautiful little restaurant to anyone who is down their. Avoid St Tropez, eat here.

We visit Grimaud and the locality 3-4 times per year and make a point of visiting La Granges des Agapes. The Chef used to work at the Ritz in Paris once upon a time and makes some of the best food I have ever tasted. We liked him so much that we hired him to cater for our wedding and he didn't disappoint. There is a fantastically priced 23 Euro lunchtime three course menu during the week, which you could easily pay 50 Euros for and still think you got a bargain. He is passionate about his food and makes the time to speak to clients to ensure they have enjoyed his dishes. The a la carte options are great and it had a fantastic wine list.Highly recommended if you are ever in the area. A little off the beaten track, but certainly worth the detour.

I went with my son and American mother to celebrate our last evening in St. Tropez. We were suprised by the hospitality of the chef and his staff. My son is very picky with the food. But the chef made for my son a simply, but delicious dish with pasta and salmon which he liked. Also the pannacotta. My mother and I chosed the Provencal menu with fish and small rabbit ; it was delicious! The chef came to our table after every dish asking us if everything was OK. The staff was very attentive!A pity that we went to this restaurant on our last evening. Otherwise, we would dine here more often. We would definately come back next time we are in Saint Tropez!Psst! Don't tell to others!

Cogolin, for a small French town , has lots of good restaurants that you really are spoilt for choice. But when we come here this restaurant is the first we go to. The fixed price daily menu is such good value. The chef, who you can view cooking and who comes and chats to you, makes simple but fresh ingredients into something memorable. The chocolate and banana encased in filo pastry and topped with creamy ice cream was a delight.
