We called in for lunch and fancied something plain and simple having experienced so much rich food throughout our holiday. Three out of the four of us were attracted by the pizza offerings on the menu but were told that they were only available at weekends! Instead we settled for goats cheese salads and a plate of chips! My wife stuck with the excellent value for money menu du jour which comprised of a smaller goats cheese salad than ours, fillet of salmon, a chocolate mousse and a small carafe of rose wine for 13.50 euros. We left feeling satisfied and will always return but only at weekends if we fancy a pizza again!!!! :-)
Nous avons appelé pour le déjeuner et cherché quelque chose de simple et léger, après avoir tellement mangé de manière riche pendant nos vacances. Trois d'entre nous ont été attirés par les offres de pizza sur le menu, mais on nous a dit qu'elles n'étaient disponibles que le soir. Ma femme est restée fidèle au menu du jour avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix, comprenant une petite salade de chèvre, un filet de saumon, une mousse au chocolat et une petite carafe de vin rosé pour seulement euros. Nous sommes repartis satisfaits et nous reviendrons toujours, mais seulement le week-end pour goûter de nouveau une pizza!
We called into La Langouste Qui Chante last night for our friends last night on our holidays. There were 8 of us in our party and were seated straight away. With one of us being celiac, we asked for the menu options. This wasn't an issue and the waitress brought over a binder with all the items on the menu along with the associated allergens in those dishes. Very organised and very understanding.The food was superb as was the service. Would highly recommend eating here as its right in the square which had entertainment, live music and what seemed like the whole of Le Barcares dancing.
I went there several times, on market days for coffee, it felt cool in spite of the heat, I also had Sangria one night with friends and finally went back there to eat dinner. Every time the service was great, they speak English to my children (even though I am French and could have translated), and they offer free WIFI which is cool when once just want to check in on a few things with her phone even though she is supposed to be on vacation. I will definitely be back again. Plus i should add, the waiters have worked there for a long time so it is nice to see them year after year.

Had to wait for 40 minutes for a table, service very poor. Ordered a €21 euro T-bone steak and asked for it to be cooked medium, it arrived raw! Sent it back, same steak came back burnt on the outside but still undercooked! No apology. Also asked for an extra plate for my son to share his sisters pizza, took 20 minutes to arrive. This restaurant is too big and too busy to serve its customers properly, I suggest you find a smaller more caring restaurant if you want a good meal. I won't eat here again.
J'ai mangé ici plusieurs fois cette année. La nourriture est très bonne et le menu offre de nombreux choix. Le potage aux champignons et la soupe de poisson sont particulièrement excellents. J'aurais donné étoiles, mais le service est très lent, ce qui est acceptable s'ils sont en vacances. Cependant, le serveur est très sympathique et serviable et je recommanderais ce restaurant si vous recherchez un repas convivial.
Nous sommes allés sur recommandation de notre hôtel. L'hôtel est situé sur la place en-dessous de plusieurs autres options de restaurants. La nourriture était excellente et bon marché. Le service était bon. J'ai remarqué que plusieurs locaux commandaient des moules frites, je vous suggère donc d'essayer, même si ce n'est pas ce que nous avons apprécié!
We went on recommendation of our hotel. Located on the plaza amongst several other restaurant options. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Service was good. I noticed that several locals were having moules frites so would suggest although that is not what we enjoyed!
